Traditional gas suppliers focus on selling as much gas as possible to boost revenues and margins, but HyGear approaches the market differently. The gas recovery system, Hy.REC, was initially developed for the flat glass industry to recover and clean hydrogen and nitrogen from the tin bath and feed it back into process. The amount of mixed gases that can be recovered is up to 700 Nm3 per hour. Following the company’s extension in its industry portfolio, HyGear’s dedicated team of experts work continuously to tailor the Hy.REC technology for applications in metal treatment, food production, and semiconductor as well.
As the requirements for these new applications are with different gases, flow, pressure, and contaminants, a new approach had to be taken towards the feed of the recycled gases back into the process. Therefore, the Hy.REC is often integrated with HyGear’s gas mixing technology, the Mix.GEN that was launched last year.
