ON-SITE GAS TECHNOLOGY
HyGear supplies industrial gases using advanced energy- and cost saving technologies. HyGear’s products are offered as stand-alone systems or as part of an integrated package of solutions, including the entire gas mixing and delivery system, tailored to the customers’ needs.
The company is established in 2002. Main offices and manufacturing facilities are located in The Netherlands and technical support is guaranteed by many local partnerships worldwide.
Major shareholders are Abengoa Hidrogeno S.A., one of the largest bio-ethanol producers and engineering company (www.abengoa.es) and PPM Oost NV, a Dutch investment company (www.ppmoost.nl).
HYDROGEN GENERATION SYSTEMS
HyGear offers on-site gas generation systems of hydrogen, nitrogen and oxygen. Decentralized gas production offers a safer, more reliable and cost attractive alternative to conventional gas supply by tube trailers or electrolysers and significantly lowers the environmental impact.
Lead product is the Hydrogen Generation System (Hy.GEN ™). The Hy.GEN system generates hydrogen on-site by proprietary Steam Methane Reforming combined with effective Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA). The system overcomes hydrogen supply by tube trailers and is a more efficient alternative to conventional hydrogen production by electrolysis. Furthermore, the Hy.GEN reduces costs and emissions significantly.
GAS RECOVERY SYSTEMS
Besides standardised products for on-site generation of hydrogen, nitrogen and oxygen, HyGear offers tailored systems for the recycling of industrial gases. The Gas Recovery Systems (Hy.REC ™) purify and recover the spent gases or gas mixtures, so that it can be re-used in the process. This reduces industrial gas consumption and therefore costs and emissions. the Hy.REC ™ is designed to consume the lowest possible electricity, which results in the highest economical rate of return.
FUTURE PRODUCTS
Other focus areas are Thermo Chemical Recuperation, Fuel Cell systems, Gas to Liquid systems and combined Heat & Power (CHP) systems.
