HyGear, a supplier of industrial gases through on-site generation technology and Hydrogenis, an energy and electromobility industry company have signed a contract for the supply of hydrogen.
Under this contract, HyGear will be installing its Hy.GEN technology in Riga, Latvia in 2017. This is part of a hydrogen filling facility for fueling buses. Hydrogen can be used as a substitute fuel with zero emission for transportation vehicles by road, rail, etc.
The Hy.GEN system produces hydrogen by converting natural gas with steam methane reforming which offers a more reliable and cost-effective alternative to conventional supply methods.
‘We are pleased to be selected by Hydrogenis to be part of this project and we look forward to the continuity of promoting hydrogen as a clean energy for the environment,’ says Niels Lanser, HyGear’s Director of Sales.
