HyGear, a member of the Xebec group, has signed an agreement with a leader in medical and industrial gases, Sandesh Gases Pvt Ltd, a company of SIG Group based in India. HyGear will supply its Hy.PURE 100 on-site hydrogen purification system, upgrading low grade by-product hydrogen from the Chlor-alkali process to high purity hydrogen gas.

The upgraded high purity gas will be used as a low-carbon alternative for high purity hydrogen gas industrial applications and as a clean energy source for fuel cell mobility and power applications.

By-product hydrogen gas mixtures from Chlor-Alkali process, waste gasification, and pyrolysis plants often lack the right quality-level and specification for high purity applications. The Hy.PURE system  is specially designed to purify hydrogen-containing gas streams into ultra-pure hydrogen up to 8.0 quality (99.999999%) using HyGear’s proprietary Vacuum Pressure Swing Adsorption technology.
