Our gas recycling solution

Our Hy.REC® systems are supplied with in-house technology. The below image is an illustrative representation of a Hy.REC® system.

TSA technology

Our Temperature Swing Adsorption (TSA) technology uses two vessels containing siliporite adsorbent material. As one vessel processes gas, the other regenerates using a hydrogen-nitrogen mixture.

De.OXO

The integrated deoxygenation technology and purification system allows for the production of a high-grade purity gas flow.

Self-cleaning heat exchanger

The self-cleaning heat exchanger combined with a dust filtration step allows for the removal of dust without having to use a water scrubber. As result the gas does not become saturated with water, meaning a decrease in electricity usage.

Gas recycling in the glass industry

In the float glass industry, hydrogen and nitrogen are widely used to create a controlled atmosphere in float lines, ensuring high product quality and preventing oxidation. Recovering and recycling this hydrogen and nitrogen mix offers significant opportunities to reduce operating costs and improve sustainability.

Our solution builds on proven, standardized core technologies to efficiently recover and purify hydrogen and nitrogen from the float line. This enables continuous reuse of valuable gas streams while meeting strict quality requirements. With a strong track record in the glass industry, including collaborations with leading companies such as Saint-Gobain and Obeikan Glass, our technology is designed to integrate seamlessly into existing float lines and deliver reliable, long-term performance.

This glass factory in Saudi Arabia secures a more sustainable and cost-effective way of producing glass with our Hy.REC® gas recycling system. The Hy.REC® increases the quality of the produced glass and cleans and re-uses the contaminated gas in the process. CO₂ emissions and operational production costs are reduced by decreasing gas supply volumes. This system is designed to recover the protective atmosphere from the tin bath in float glass production. The technology purifies and recovers a hydrogen-nitrogen gas mixture from the production process and has a maximum flow of 700 Nm3/hr of hydrogen-nitrogen.

Gas recycling in the metal industry

In the metal industry, hydrogen is commonly used in processes such as annealing, galvanizing, and sintering to create protective or reducing atmospheres. Hydrogen plays a key role in these processes, making efficient use and recovery essential for both cost reduction and sustainability.

Our hydrogen recycling solutions are based on robust, standardized core technologies and are specifically designed to handle the challenging conditions of metal processing environments. This includes advanced features such as self-cleaning heat exchangers, ensuring reliable operation even in streams with high dust loads. By recovering and reusing hydrogen, our systems help reduce operational costs, improve process efficiency, and support more sustainable metal production.

Improved energy efficiency

The Hy.REC® stands out for its energy efficiency and recovery rates. Through a self-cleaning heat exchanger, along with separation and purification technologies. The self-cleaning heat exchanger eliminates the use of a water scrubber. Meaning a decrease in electricity usage, because the gas does not become saturated with water.  Minimizing energy consumption and increasing hydrogen and nitrogen recovery. Translating into greater cost savings and improved operational efficiency.
